Twenty years’ experience in the cardboard corrugating sector brought Shaun to Visy. He started with us as a fitter at Australia’s most advanced box factory in Hemmant, Queensland and is now a Mechanical Supervisor at our Carole Park site.
My day is very hands on
A normal day consists of at least one machine on planned maintenance and other tasks include assisting machine operators with their machines, repairs and the odd breakdown.

I decided to join Visy because I have 20 years’ experience in the corrugating sector and Visy is a well-established company with great sustainable plans in recycling a variety of materials.

I’m always looking for solutions
Getting closer to the end of this year, I am looking forward to finding opportunities and initiatives to improve mean time between failures and unscheduled stoppages, along with reducing repair times.
