Visy’s care and pride in a safe workplace led Adrian to join us as our Production and Engineering Manager at our Somerton plastic recycling facility in Melbourne’s north.

His biggest challenge to date has been setting up the foundation of Visy Somerton rplastics facility after we acquired it. He oversaw what was a complex project through to its operation.
We reprocess and manufacture between 2500-3000 tons of recycled plastics per month. He is now responsible for scheduling production and the overall operations throughout the site, ensuring all records and maintained, financial accountability and sustainability at the site.
He’s also worked on installing the machines we use to mould plastic into new products (called an injection mould) and to create labelled packaging in one step (thin wall in mould labelling) at the Clayton food Plastics plant.
As a leader at site, he recruits, trains and up-skills employees to meet our stringent safety standards, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
